Storage Planner

Terms of use

Last updated November 3, 2026.

By using Storage Planner you agree to these terms. They're short, and the part about checking your measurements is the one that matters most.

Using the tool

The tool is free to use for your own home, or for paid work for clients. The drawings, cut lists and shopping lists you make are yours. Please don't try to break the site, overload it, or pass the tool off as your own.

Check everything before you cut

The tool works from the numbers you give it and a set of general building assumptions. It can't see your walls, your studs, your floor or your materials. It doesn't calculate how much weight a closet can safely hold. Check every measurement against your space before you buy or cut anything, and follow the instructions that come with your hardware.

Fasten tall units securely to wall framing, since a tower that isn't anchored can tip over. If you aren't sure about the structure, the wiring or plumbing inside a wall, or your local building rules, talk to a qualified professional. Using power tools and building furniture carries real risks, and you're responsible for doing that work safely.

No warranty

The tool is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We try hard to get the numbers right but don't promise it's free of errors or always available. Your design is stored only in your browser, so it can be lost if your browser data is cleared. Keep a PDF of anything you care about.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for wasted materials, damage, injury or other losses that come from using the tool or relying on its output. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may change the tool or these terms. If the terms change, the date at the top will change too.
